DCO consent decision delayed until 14 May due to pre-election period in England
On 26 March 2026, the Minister for Energy Consumers, Martin McCluskey, announced, on behalf of Secretary of State Ed Miliband, that North Falls Offshore Wind Farm’s Development Consent Order (DCO) application has a new decision deadline of no later than 14 May 2026.
The reason given by the Minister is because the current statutory date for this application is within the pre-election period for local elections in England.
North Falls will continue to work closely with the Planning Inspectorate, Secretary of State, and other key stakeholders as required ahead of the new decision deadline.
